Overview

App Center is ZyXEL's app store for third-party applications.  These applications provide extra enhancement to the NAS services providing a better user experience sharing content or creating.  Some of the third-party applications include WordPress, a nice piece of software you can use to create gorgeous websites or blog pages.  Applications also include online storage drives to help sync your files between the NAS and these services or vice versa.

This additional applications help elevate the user experience with the ZyXEL network storage appliances.

Supported Devices

NAS326 – Running firmware version 5.20 and newer.
NAS520 – Running firmware version 5.20 and newer.
NAS540 – Running firmware version 5.20 and newer.

Installing Apps

To install applications (apps) on the storage appliance please login to the web configuration screen and click the App Center menu icon.

In the App Center application, you will see two options on the left, My Apps and Browse.  Click the "Browse" option and select "All Apps" for a list of third party applications available to install on the NAS appliance.

To install an application simply click the Install button.  A window will appear to select the storage volume you wish to install the application on.

Updating Apps

Updating applications installed on the NAS is easy.  Simply open the App Center application and under My Apps click the update option.  This will show all the applications with new update versions available to install.

Launching Apps

To open an installed third-party application, simple double click the application icon from the Dashboard screen (main screen for the NAS web configuration page).

Or, open the App Center application and go to My Apps → Installed and click the Launch button on the app you wish to open.

Uninstall/Delete Apps

To uninstall third party application on the NAS device please open the App Center application from the WebUI.

Go to the My Apps → Installed option and select the app you wish to remove.  Once you click the app it will show the app description information.  Click on the "Uninstall" button.
