  • Hi Markus ,

You just need ip of device.

You dont need Interface for this action.

If you want send syslog through VPN you need first setup it.

  • Hi, nope that will not work. I do not allow all LAN Networks inside the Tunnel (In this particular setup, I have 5 LAN Networks). If the firewall is using the interface IP from a Network that I do not tunnel, it cannot traverse through the tunnel. Thus it is important to have a source IP for syslog messages. It is a necessary option to define with what IP the Firewall is sending its own syslog messages.

  • I will rephrase:

    I have

    LAN1 - 192.168.1.1 (Firewall IP)

    LAN 2 - 192.168.2.1

    LAN 3... etc etc

Which IP is the Firewall using to send Syslogs? Assuming it is using one of the LAN Interface IP Addresses?
