Zyxel WLAN [AP] - default password on Zyxel access points

This article introduces a new security enhancement for Access Points (APs) regarding administrative login credentials. Below is an overview of the default password mechanism implemented for a specific Zyxel access point.
 

Unique Password Assignment:

• Each newly manufactured AP will be assigned a unique password.
• This unique password will be used as the admin login credential.

• For WiFi 7 BandFlex and subsequent models, the default password is always the unique password.

  

• For APs manufactured before 2025 Feb, the default password is always “1234”
