In this article, we like to show you, what you can do if the time on your switch is not correct.
1) Configure Time Server
In general, the switch can be configured to get the time from an NTP server automatically, but this needs to be set up firstly. In order to set it up correctly, you need to login to the switch and go to
SYSTEM > General Setup
Set the address to (e.g. 0.pool.ntp.org)
NTP servers found at: ntppool.org
2) Configure DNS Servers
3) Save your configuration
Save your configuration by clicking on "Save" button up at the right-hand corner in the Web GUI:
4) Reboot your system
Reboot your system using the Config (Configuration) that you are currently on. In this example, we'll reboot into "Config 1":
5) Check your configuration
Check your time settings on the Dashboard of the switch to make sure you have the correct time settings.
3) For legacy models
After setting up the server, you need to enable the settings and check if you need to set up daylight saving:
Now you can check the dashboard if the settings the time is correct:

What can go wrong?
If the time is still not correct, check the IP/Gateway/DNS-settings on the switch. You may also check if the firewall blocks the traffic from the switch.
