In this article, we want to show you what the "Trace mode" is, how you can activate it and what you can do with it.

What is Trace mode?
Trace mode allows the VPN client to save its logs and debug information to your Harddrive.
It includes the following information:
%Date%-console.log
Includes the Logentries from the VPN Client Console.
%Date%-tgbike.log
Same as the console log but can include process-related information.
%Date%-TGBIKENG.log
Debug log of the TGBIKE System Process.
%Date%-VpnCfgDbg.log
Shows Debug Information about the Operating System as well as internal config handlings.
%Date%-VpnDbg.log
Shows the complete Debug-Trace and statuses of ongoing VPN connections.
%Date%-vpnstarterdbg.log
Same as above but in more detail as to the working memory.
%Date%-VpnTokenDbg.log
Same as "VpnCfgDbg.log"
Why do we need the Trace mode?
The Trace mode gives us a more detailed inside of the Tool.
It allows as to debug and solve your Problems more efficiently.
How can we activate the Trace mode?
- Open the VPN client
- Click on the 3 Horizontal Lines to access the Connection Panel Configuration
- Then press "Ctrl+Alt+T" to enable the "trace mode"

Where can we find the Logs?
You can find the Logs under:
Perpetual (old) client:
C:\ProgramData\Zyxel\ZyWALL IPSec VPN
Subscription-based (new) client:
C:\ProgramData\Zyxel\SecuExtender IPSec VPN Client\LogFiles
