If you have a message "This is unverified, unofficial firmware", "Unverified firmware installed", or "Firmware Integrity check Fail.", this article explains why.
You can find the latest datecode firmwares here.
What is it?
This means you're on a datecode firmware, or the firmware has been manipulated somehow.
How do I know if the firmware has been compromised?
If you have an official firmware 5.32(ABUI.0)C0, for example, and this "unverified" message show, this would mean that the firmware could be compromised. However, if you have an unofficial datecode firmware (weekly firmware) (e.g. 532ABUI0ITS-22WK31-r104914), this only means that the firmware is a datecode firmware which is not yet officially verified and you don't need to worry.
Why the Weekly firmware version
The weekly version includes new bug fixes, which is not included in the official release version. However, it could be more unstable due to not completing official bug tests. The version gets full Support from Zyxel Support. If you were in touch with Zyxel Support or know how the Weekly version concept works, you could install them on your device.
Should I upgrade from weekly to the official firmware after the official firmware is released?
If you have installed a weekly firmware on your device and a new official firmware just got released, you might think that you can install that official firmware. However, it could be that your bug fix is not included in that official firmware and thus, your issue would reappear after installing the official firmware. Therefore, we highly recommend you to check with the Zyxel Support before installing the official firmware to make sure that your bug fix is included in the new official firmware.
