USG Flex is a comprehensive service gateway. The USG Flex with Hotspot feature is ideal for offices, coffee shops, libraries, hotels and other scenarios that serve subscribers who need Internet access. With separate zones, USG Flex allows you to separate guest traffic (LAN2) from the private network (LAN1). In this article, we will look at how to set up the Management features Billing System and PayPal payment system.

1. General
Go to Configuration > Hotspot > Billing> General to open the following screen.
Use this screen to configure the general billing settings, such as the accounting method, currency unit and the SSID profiles for which the settings are applied .

2. Billing Profile
Go to Configuration > Hotspot > Billing > Billing Profile to open the following screen.
Use this screen to configure the billing profiles that define the maximum Internet access time and charge per time unit.
3. Discount
Go to Configuration > Hotspot > Billing > Discount, and then Add or Edit icon to open this screen.
You can offer your customers a discount if they purchase multiple bills. The Discount Add/Edit screen allows you to create a new discount level or edit an existing one.
The discount will be applied depending on the terms and conditions chosen by you.
4. Payment Service
The online payment service allows users to purchase internet access time online with a credit card. You must register with the supported credit card service (PayPal) before you can configure USG Flex to handle credit card transactions. The payment service allows vendors who do not have the SP350E thermal ticket printer to sell internet access to patrons.
Go to Configuration > Hotspot > Billing > Payment Service.
1. Select the "Enable payment service" check box to turn on the feature.
2. Enter your PayPal “Account” and "Currency"
3. Fill in the “Identity Token”
4. You can also specify the e-mail subject and sender, but these settings are not necessary in this case.

6. Click "Apply"
5. PayPal Account Setup
In order to use PayPal payment services, you need to be subscribed to a Merchant/Business account. To setup your PayPal account to accept payments, please follow the instructions below: (Please be aware that the instructions below are based on PayPal’s new GUI interface)
- Login to your PayPal (Merchant/Business) account at https://www.paypal.com.
- Click on the “Person” icon on the top right.
- Select the “Profile and Settings” option.
- On the left of the screen click on “My Selling Tools”.
- On the right, under selling online, click on the UPDATE button for the “Website Preferences”.
- Configure the Website Payment Preferences for your PayPal account. Turn ON the auto return option and set the return URL to http://10.10.10.10/pdt.cgi, this will redirect traffic back to the USG FLEX when payment is complete. Configure any of the other payment preferences you wish to use, scroll to the bottom when you are done and click the SAVE button to apply the changes.
- Once the Website Payment Preferences have been applied, you will be provided with the identity token. Save this information, as you will need the Token when configuring the USG FLEX Payment Service setup.
6. How to check if PayPal and USG Payment Service is set up correctly
To verify that the Free Time function is enabled, open your browser and type in the address. Use the address you specified on the Web Authentication page that you specified earlier. If you haven't already Enabled Web Authentication, you can learn how to do so in this article: Hotspot Feature - Free Time
Click "Get PayPal Account"
Choose the "profile" you need, fill in the "Mobile Number" and click "Ok"
After that, you will be redirected to the payment system. If you do not have a PayPal Account, you can create one or use the card payment function.
7. On-site payment (how to provide data for user access)
Consider this option, you have a hotel, and the client wants to pay for Internet service at the reception in your hotel in cash or card terminal. After paying, you only need to give the customer the credentials to access the internet service.
Next, we will look at how to generate an account for the customer and options for transferring data to access the Internet by printing a receipt or sending data via text message.
1. First, create a user with the user type "guest-manager". We will use this user to manage and generate access to the Internet.
2. Second, navigate to the USG login portal and type the username.
3. As soon as you connect using guest-manager, you will immediately be taken to the "Account generation" page, where you can find the setting page where you can define the profile on the printer and select the desired quantity.
