[FAQ-E] - Do the USG Flex H Series firewalls support DAC cables?

Zyxel does not officially support Direct Attach Copper (DAC) cables for the USG FLEX H series firewalls, including the USG FLEX 700H, USG FLEX 500H, USG FLEX 200H, and USG FLEX 100H models.

DAC Cable Support Overview

• USG FLEX 700H: which includes 2 x 10G SFP+ ports. However, it's important to note that even for this model, Zyxel has stated that DAC cables are not officially supported and may lead to unexpected issues.
• USG FLEX 500H: This model features 2.5G and 1G Ethernet ports but lacks SFP or SFP+ ports, which are typically required for DAC cable connections. Therefore, DAC cables are not applicable to this model.
• USG FLEX 200H and USG FLEX 100H: Both models are equipped with 1G and 2.5G RJ-45 Ethernet ports and do not include any SFP/SFP+ interfaces. Consequently, DAC cables cannot be utilized with these devices.
